Working together 40 years to Promote Sustainable Development Cooperation

The year 2024 is the 40th year of financial dialog and cooperation between China and Germany. On the occasion of this 40th anniversary, the China-Germany Dialogue Forum on Financial Cooperation has been held on Thursday, April 11th in Beijing, China. The conference was co-organized by the Ministry of Finance of the People's Republic of China and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

The conference brought together around 140 Chinese and German policy makers, as well as experts from academia, finance and business to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Sino-German financial cooperation. The conference looked back on the important moments and milestones of the 40 years and showcased the highlights of the financial cooperation between China and Germany. Representatives of the main institutions involved in the financial cooperation between China and Germany presented their perspectives on the contribution of the 40 years of financial cooperation to the development of both countries. At the end of the conference, important projects and key actors of 40 years of financial cooperation have been honoured with an awards ceremony.
